AOS Orwell, an integrated indigenous oilfield services company in Nigeria offering well construction and engineering services to the oil and gas sector, has the following vacancy for a suitably qualified person to join its Process Management Division.

Position: Technical Sales Manager Operations and Maintenance

Responsibilities:

  • Identify sales leads and opportunities through in-depth knowledge of customer activities and plans.
  • Communicate customer activity and sales opportunities through the effective use of sales business systems or processes.
  • Apply technical knowledge of business unit products and services to customer needs and capture and qualify sales leads and opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date opportunity pipeline for assigned customers.
  • Plan customers’ calls and make regular visits to ensure appropriate and sufficient coverage and assigned customers.
  • Maintain customer relationship management data including customer profiling, organization structure, visit reports, customer drivers, stakeholder mapping and KPIs.
  • Work with management to develop sales goals and coordinate sales plans for the promotion of existing products and services and the introduction of new products and services.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of competition products and services.
  • Monitor pricing structure and pricing levels and recommend necessary changes to pricing strategy.
  • Provide support to receivables management.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Candidate should possess

  • a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Mechanical / Instrumentation / Electrical.
  • Minimum of 10 years of sales experience and involvement in tender commercial processes.
  • Experience and Exposure to the Energy Sector (Oil & Gas, Power Industry Verticals)
  • Good sales skills and business sense.
  •  Ability to build customer relationships easily.
  •  Presentation skills and ability to convey value and products and services to the customers.
  •  Good technical knowledge of products and services, ability to listen to the customer’s desires and concerns and recommend solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Goal-oriented with the ability to multi-task under pressure in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Willing and able to work long hours necessary to meet deadlines and respond to emergency demands.
  • Willing and able to travel to locations as required to execute job responsibilities.
